CSIA has announced its report named ‘Body Burden’. It clearly states that 61% of deaths in India are due to bad life style and non-communicable diseases.
From 2005 to 2015, the number of people fighting against obesity has doubled. In the 15 to 49 years, 20.7% of women and 18.6% of men suffer from overweight.

26% of deaths among people in India are due to heart disease. This is more in male and young people. To reduce heart problem, walking and cycling should be increased. Walking and cycling strengthens the heart and reduces the risk of heart attack.
