With almost all the festive seasons, the people of the US have started buying gifts for their loved ones. Given the vast popularity of Apple in the country, iPhone is considered a good gift for both young people and adults.
Or we should use it for the past because, for Apple’s disappointment, people in the US this year are opting for the newly launched iPhone X for the Samsung Galaxy S8. Well, if you’re thinking that the ridiculously high cost of the iPhone X has forced tax-users to switch, then you are wrong. Obviously, there is a lack of popular features like headphone jack and fingerprint scanner.
According to a recent survey by US market research firm Propeller Insight, 38 % of users in the US wanted a Samsung Galaxy S8 as a Christmas gift.
However, only 20 % of the defendants said that they hope they get the Apple iPhone X for Christmas. There is a small space in the selection of the iPhone 8’s in this list, in which 22% of people are saying yes for this smartphone.
However, a chart has been released by Statista, which shows that the beginning of the iPhone 4S has increased the manufacturing costs of the iPhone.
When it comes to teenagers, Apple still has a huge fan base in the US. 35% of adolescents responded saying they wanted to pick an iPhone X as a Christmas gift. Many of them turned to the iPhone 8.
In comparison, only 28% of the youth went to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8.
Speaking from a different angle, it has been found that the price of iPhone X is about $ 370 (approximately Rs 24,000). This means that Apple has earned a high gross margin on its 10th anniversary iPhone model because its initial price is $ 999 (roughly Rs.65,000). This phone is also high priced in many markets.
