Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani has announced that the controversial film Padmavati will not be released in Gujarat. Cm has tweeted that the film does not allow Padmavati to get rid of Rajputs’ feelings in the state. The history has not been tampered with. We believe in freedom of expression, but not agree with relaxation with culture.
Rupani said, the film can not be released right now
The government of Gujarat will not allow #Padmavati – a movie hurting sentiments of Rajputs – to get released in the State We can not allow our history to be distorted. We believe in freedom of speech & expression but any foul play with our great culture is not tolerated.

It is important that before the release of the film, the controversy in the entire country is worsening, and the Rajput community is very much resentful about the subject of the film. In Rajasthan, continuous protests are being carried out by the army. In an interview given to a TV channel, Rupani said that due to the legal dispute, the film will not be allowed to be released in Gujarat in the present state. It is important that the state has an election next month and Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil has also opposed the film.

CM Rupani said in the interview that the film should be removed from the controversial scenes. The law and order situation can get spoiled due to the release of the film. Organizations affiliated with Rajput community have alleged that historical facts have been broken down in Padmavati. Padmavati’s character in the film is being said to be inspired by the Queen Padmini of Chittorgarh.
Controversy In Surat
Last month, in a mall in Surat, he allegedly destroyed a Rangoli inspired by the film Padmavati. Four workers of Varanasi and VHP workers were arrested in this matter. An Artist has worked 48 hours for the Rangoli film.
The movie was about to be released on December 1
Padmavati was due to be released on December 1, which has now been delayed by the producer. The film’s creator Sanjay Leela Bhansali has appealed to the viewers to first see the film, and only then they decide whether there is anything wrong in it or not. In Rajasthan, the Rajput community has formed a front against the film. Karni Sena Chairperson Lokendra Singh kalvi has also warned the film’s starcast and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
These states have also been banned
Earlier, the announcement of the film not being released in UP, MP, Punjab and Rajasthan has been announced. The UP government has also written a letter to the Center about the film and said the film is a threat to peace. Day CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has said in public: “It will not be released in UP till the script changes.”
Ban in Rajasthan-MP too
Apart from this, CM Raj in Rajasthan also said that if the film does not change in the film, then it will not be allowed to release it. CM said that the center has also been released in this regard.
